Palermo Hotels for After-Polo Partying!

The Palermo Open is just a week away! Here are some of our favourite boutique hotels that make great places to stay in the city if the partying goes on too long and you can´t face the journey home!

Nicaragua 5865

This chic hotel opened in May, bringing a new concept in luxury hotels to the Palermo Hollywood area. The 26 room property prides itself on world-class service normally associated with larger properties, alongside a more personalised approach that smaller hotels tend to be favoured for. This exceptional service is combined with a modern, luxurious product, unlike anything else in the area and at a more competitive rate than nearby properties are able to offer. The sleek bedrooms complete with kitchenettes, flat screen tvs and custom designed italian furniture all offer spectacular views of the city. Up on the rooftop, the hotel boasts a gym and and outdoor sunbathing deck while on the other side of the building is a terrace with parrilla grill where guests can host intimate gatherings with friends or colleagues.

Having opened in 2005, Home has become known as one of the innovators in the boutique hotel scene here. The idea initially came about while UK record producer Tom Rixton and Argentine PR Director Patricia O’Shea were planning their wedding in Argentina. They realised when looking for accommodation for friends and family travelling from Europe, that there was a severe lack in stylish offerings. The combination of a great product, excellent services and helpful connnections (including a few well known record producers!) has led to numerous accolades such as the Conde Nast Traveller Readers Award and Wallpaper* Best New Hotel Award. The spa and restauarant are open to non-residents but you will need to check in to enjoy the pool!

Gorriti 4770

Another husband and wife partnership are behind this 20 bedroom hotel! Marcelo and Paula Kohen were inspired to create Mine after staying in a beautiful hotel in Saint Barth. Design is a key element, with the hotel combining a mixture of colours and materials to create a relaxing and natural environment. This feel is carried through into the chic bistro which serves a lunchtime menu using fresh, seasonal products.

Arce 385

Just 2 blocks away from the Polo fields, you can’t get much closer to the action! This 5 bedroom hotel is the epitome of minimalist chic: crisp white bed sheets, silver crome features and neutral colours all complemented by a range of in-room high tech MAC gadgets (and some retro bikes for hire!). Staff are renowned for their attention to detail while complimentary services include international calls, internet and snacks.

Technically not a hotel (although there are 3 bedrooms such as the one pictured here) but if a group of you are staying in town during the Open, Oasis offer a range of short term luxury rental properties close to the Hippodrome. Don´t forget, their Clubhouse is also the venue for the the ONLY party to be seen at after the semi finals! For more details on the party at the Oasis Clubhouse, contact Madeleine on
