The Peruvian Paso or Peruvian Horse is a breed of light pleasure saddle horse known for its smooth ride. It is distinguished by a natural, four-beat, lateral gait called the paso llano.
Here at Puesto Viejo, we hosted our own Peruvian Paso endurance race on Saturday. The riders took part in a 35 KM endurance test, split into 2 halves (first half being 20km, second being 15km.)
The idea of this endurance race, is not necessarily who finishes first, but who finishes with their horse in good condition.
