Today marks the first day of the first tournament of 2013, the Copa Patrones. Hosted at Puesto Viejo Estancia & Polo Club, Cañuelas, the tournament runs until Sunday, 3 February 2013. Six teams to play in a total of nine matches over four days – quite an achievement for a January tournament in Argentina! Teams are made up of a maximum of 4 goals, and each match will consist of 4 chukkers.
The Copa Patrones was designed specifically to allow Patrons (specifically foreigners) to play some polo, before heading back to their respective countries. This year’s tournament sees French, Italian, English and Argentine Patrons taking part in the Copa Patrones.
