Introduction

PUESTO VIEJO is a 250 acre estancia located less than an hour from Buenos Aires city and 20 minutes from Ezeiza International airport. Incorporating a Boutique Hotel, Polo Club and Clubhouse for events, it is the perfect place to experience the Argentine countryside at its very best. Whether it be tourists looking for a relaxing estancia holiday, polo lovers wanting to develop their skills on the field, people based in the city who want to escape to the country for the day or company directors looking for an unusual location for a corporate event: PUESTO VIEJO caters for everyone!

The land used to belong to a big traditional cattle farm called La Primavera, famed for its innovative farming technology and for being one of the first pieces of land sold by the Argentine government. Having developed a love of polo together, the Anglo-Argentine couple Jeremy and Liliana Forrester-Baker, bought the land in 2003 and developed it into the exceptional boutique hotel and polo club it is today.

PUESTO VIEJO is located in a stunning, typically Argentine landscape. Along with panoramic views and a small lake, there is a huge variety of flora and fauna throughout the grounds. The range of trees includes conifers, eucalyptus and willows and from these, bird watchers may spot, churrinches, chimangos or various types of owl such as lechuza and caburé. Fruit and herbs grown on the estancia such as peaches, apples, basil and mint are all incorporated into dishes served at the hotel, while lamb organically reared on site, is a speciality at lunchtime asados.

PUESTO VIEJO offers a wide variety of activities and guests set their own pace. From more relaxing pursuits such as a swim in the infinity pool, a tour around the stables, or a cycle around the grounds to more invigorating experiences such as a horse ride through the local countryside, a stick and ball lesson with a professional player or polo game alongside polo club members, guests can be as active (or in-active!) as they wish.
